Something Happened specializes in reactive “break-fix” support and services, also known as the “time and materials” model. Most IT providers tend to shy away from this type of model, but we love it! We also offer a number of proactive and other services such as antivirus, backups, monitoring, consulting, subcontracting, and more. Here’s a quick list of what we primarily focus on, but we’re really just looking to help so let us know if you need something else. Please contact us if you have any questions or you’re ready to bring us in to help.
Technical Support and Services
We are more than happy to work with your existing hardware and software to get you back up and running after ‘something happened.’ Not only that, but we do it at a convenient hourly rate with no contracts, no required purchases, and no fuss. Simple – Call us after ‘something happened’ and we’ll happily jump in and fix it.
If you’re with an IT support provider or corporate help desk (or anything of that sort) we can give you a hand! Let us know where you need us and we’ll have our feet on the ground and be your eyes and ears.
Let us know when you’re looking to make your next IT purchase and we’ll help educate you on your needs and point you in the right direction come decision time. We’ll provide a few choices with clear pros and cons and discuss the options with you to make sure you make the best decision for your specific business.
Backups and Disaster Recovery
Your data is everything – client records, employee records, emails – it’s important to keep backups to protect against equipment failure, fire, flood, or theft. We offer a few different solutions for backups and we’d love to discuss those options with you.
To take it one step further, we’ve partnered with StorageCraft to offer complete business continuity and disaster recovery solutions. More than just the minimal backups, this is the ability to restore and recreate entire systems, anywhere, anytime, within minutes.
If backups weren’t in place and something was accidentally deleted we can usually get it back with our data recovery methods. Even in the event of hardware failure we still have options. Data recovery can be tricky, though, so please contact us as soon as possible.
Antivirus and Virus and Malware Removal
Viruses and malware don’t just slow you down, they can steal your private information and destroy your data. Antivirus is your first line of defense in making sure your information and identity stays safe online. We’ve partnered with Webroot to provide one of the most robust, thorough, and lightweight antivirus solutions available.
In the event that you weren’t protected, or the protection somehow failed, we have a proven method using over a dozen tools to clean most virus and malware infections – usually with no data loss.
We offer free recycling on most items including computers, laptops, servers, cabling, LCD monitors, cameras, and other miscellaneous computer hardware. A fee may apply for printers, LCD monitors, or other large items at our discretion.
Items which are in working order may be reused in our office or donated. Older items or items which are not in working order will be sent to an environmentally-friendly recycling service. All media storage devices, including hard drives, will be securely wiped before being reused, recycled, or leaving our office.
Has something happened? Ready to make something happen? Please contact us and we’ll be in touch soon!
